Summary
Stockly Reserve is a home inventory, expiry-date and grocery-list app. The app does not require a Stockly Reserve account. Data you add is stored on your device unless you use features that require iCloud, the App Store or an online product lookup.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app may store information needed to provide its features:
- product names, barcodes, brands, quantities, categories and photos;
- expiry dates, opened products, storage locations and stock movements;
- grocery lists, checked items, shopping sessions, entered prices and history;
- app settings, selected language, preferences and widget data;
- sync journal entries, recent actions and remembered deletions.
Camera, Scanning and Text Recognition
Stockly Reserve uses the camera to scan barcodes, read expiry dates and add product photos. Date text recognition uses Apple tools available on the device.
Product Lookup with Open Food Facts
When you scan or enter a barcode, the app may query Open Food Facts to retrieve public product information such as product name, brand, quantity, category and image. Only the barcode, together with the technical information strictly necessary to process the request, is sent to Open Food Facts. No user account, personal identifier or inventory data is transmitted to the developer.
Product Images and Photos
Images from Open Food Facts may be cached on the device. Photos taken in Stockly Reserve are stored in the app's local storage. If you use a shared household, some photos may be sent to iCloud so they can be available on accepted household members' devices.
Shared Household and iCloud
If you enable a shared household, Stockly Reserve uses Apple iCloud and CloudKit to sync household data between invited and accepted members. This data may include stock, products, batches, photos, grocery lists, history, movements, remembered deletions and household settings. iCloud availability and security are managed by Apple.
JSON Import and Export
The app can create a JSON file when you choose to export your data. This file is generated at your request and may contain stock, list, history, household and remembered deletion data. You then choose where to store or share that file.
In-App Purchases
Stockly Reserve Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Stockly Reserve does not receive your payment card details. The app only reads the purchase status needed to unlock Pro features, restore purchases and display prices provided by the App Store.
Apple's standard terms are available here: Apple Standard EULA. Apple's privacy policy is available here: Apple Privacy Policy.
Sharing with Third Parties
Stockly Reserve does not sell your personal data. Third-party services are used only for app features: Apple for iCloud, CloudKit and App Store purchases, Open Food Facts for product lookup, and GitHub Pages for hosting this page.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete products, batches, lists, photos and locations in the app. You can delete the app to remove its local data from the device. iCloud data for a shared household depends on the household state and the devices that have access to it.
Children
Stockly Reserve is not designed to knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe personal information was added by mistake, contact support.
